They migrated to Susquehanna Co, PA in 1817. 1. Thomas W. JAMES; born 1787 in New Jersey; married Hannah Smith. All children with exception of David M. James were born in PA. Most likely Susquehanna Co, PA. Children of Thomas W JAMES and Hannah Smith were as follows: + 2 i. David M JAMES, born 1817 at New Jersey. + 3 ii. Thomas Smith JAMES, born 1818; married Sarah DEVINE. 4 iii. Lewis M JAMES; born 1822; died 31 Dec 1827. + 5 iv. Abijah Smith JAMES, born 2 Oct 1824 at West Auburn, Auburn, Pennsylvania; married Sarah B Marshall. 6 v. Abigail JAMES; born 1825. 7 vi. Mary L JAMES; born 1826. Mary L possibly married to Justus Knapp of Lynn on 10 Mar 1862 in West Auburn. 8 vii. Emeline M JAMES; born Feb 1829; died 12 Apr 1830 at age 1. 9 viii. Rebecca JAMES; born 2 Mar 1833; died 17 Mar 1833. + 10 ix. Theodore C JAMES, born Apr 1835; married Harriet N (--?--). 11 x. Caroline JAMES; born 1840.
