My brick wall: Green Berry James is in 1850 Monroe Co., AL census, married to Gymyma. He is from GA and b. ca 1805. Their known children are Abel b. ca 1832 and Burrell B. b. ca 1828. Green received a land patent in Monroe Co. in 1840. It was later transferred to James M. Griffith, then later to G. W. Coker in 1847. I assume Green died by 1856 as his wife issued a quit claim on the land then. IN 1853, Burrell married Sarah Jane Humphrey in Monroe Co. They were in Clarke Co., MS by 1860 census, as was his mother. Burrell and Sarah Jane had 4 children: F. L., a male, 6, b. in AL; M.M., male, 4, also b. AL; E.A., 2 , b. MS (who is Elizabeth Fidelia, my husband's great grandmother); and Frank, 4 months. Burrell served in the 5th MS Infantry, Co., D. After 1860, the Jameses just evaporate, except for Elizabeth Fidelia, aka Dolly, who married T.J. Hardee in 1880. HOPE SOMEONE KNOWS THESE FOLKS!
