Looking for the parents of Buchanan James, Sr. and where he was born in NC. Buchanan James was born in North Carolina c1790 and moved to Statesville, TN about 1810. He married Margaret "Peggy" McMinn Lewis c1815 in TN. Buchanan James, Sr. bought land in Warren County Tennessee on Jan. 16, 1832 from a William James of Warren County. Witnesses were Daniel James, James James, and Lutha James. Buchanan James died c1858.
