Hello group! My maternal grandfather was Erastus Fylie James, born 18 December 1887. Not sure where he was born but it was probably Elmore County, AL. His wife was Minnie Elizabeth Chapman and they lived most of their married life in Opelika, Lee County, AL. His father was John Edwin James, born 16 January 1856 or 1858, died 16 March 1928. His mother was Sara Elizabeth “Sallie” Buce, born 1 July 1865, died 2 May 1915. They were married on 18 December 1881. They lived in Elmore County, AL and before that, I have no information. F. (Johnnie) James, b. 14 February 1893, married 19 December 1915 -G. O. (George Otamus) James, b. 18 August 1896, d. 3 July 1897 -Mary J. James, b. 25 September 1898 -Annie Clair, b. 2 November 1900, married 29 June 1919 -Sara M.
