This is in reply to Gail Gregg Ferris in NE. I can't help but notice the given names of the family she listed. My James were John JAMES (b. ca 1797 PA) & Mary Ann (b. ca 1811 NY) and their children: Henry (b. ca 1827 OH), Mary Francis (b. ca 1832 OH), Emily (b. ca 1834 OH), Nancy A. (b. ca 1838 IN), Josephine (b. ca 1845 OH or IN), Adrian (b. ca 1848 IN), Charles D. (b. ca 1851 IN), William (b. ca 1854 IN) and Clara JAMES (b. ca 1857 IN). Charles & William both married into the ROTHROCK family in Bartholomew Co., IN and Josephine (Josie) married John LAHUE in 1862 in Jefferson Co., IN. Josie & John had a daughter, Harriet Blanche LAHUE (Hattie) who married Evan Snead QUICK in 1885 in Bartholomew Co., IN. She went to NE with his family and died there ca 1890.
