Greenberry James was the father of Burrell B. and Abel James. Greenberry was born ca 1805 in GA. His wife Tinney was b. ca 1808 in MS. Burrell B. was b. in AL in 1828, Abel a few years later. Burrell married Sarah Jane Humphrey in Monroe Co. AL on 8/16/1853. They moved to Clarke Co., MS before 1860, but Greenberry had apparently died by then. Burrell served in the CSA. His daughter Elizabeth Fidelia James married T.J. Hardee in 1880 in Clarke Co. The 1860 census is the last sign of Burrell, Sarah Jane, or their three sons, one of whom was named Frank. Another daughter married T.J. Hardee's son, James. A third daughter, Annie, married an Ellison. She died in San Antonio after 1959. This family is my brick wall.
