Who has information on William James b(1711) d(c1750) >Williamsburg, Craven Co, SC m(ca1724) Elizabeth Witherspoon b() d() I have tried twice to contact the person at [email protected] who sent the outline genealogy of John Wm. James and Anne Wyndham, but never got a response. In view of the the documentation of this couple by other James researchers, and the dates in the outline, this genealogy falls apart from the very beginning. I note that John James, b. 1750, is reported to have been born in James City Co, VA, about the same year that William James 1711 died in Williiamsburg, South Carolina. This William James, 1711, is reported to have a will that was probated in Jan 1750. If anyone has a copy of this will, would you please share it with the List. If not , I will send for a copy of his will. Any information on who this William James of 1711 was or information on his family will be helpful. Michael, I really doubt that this William James 1711 is the father of John James, 1750, but I could be wrong. In any event, he needs to be confirmed or eliminated.
