Dear Jennifer, I'm sorry for not stating where the Pee Dee area was. It is in SC--in the North-eastern part of the state. During the time that the book was talking about--it was from the North & South Carolina border, South past the Pee Dee River and on to the Santee River. It included what was later to become the Districts of Cheraw, Georgetown and most of Camden. Hope I haven't confused you. It is difficult to describe without a map.
