These families are mine...not Israel, but his older brother Phillip. I do not have a list of children for Israel, nor a list for Phillip and his wife Phebe Long...I have a partial list for Phillip which I believe to be true but have no hard proof for. The line to Liverpool I have is this: (please anyone with input, would greatly appreciate it) Roger James "of Yonger" and wife Alice Marks married in 1632 in West Lavington, Wiltshire Roger II was christened 18 May 1646 in West Lavington and is believed to have married Ann Mercer c1680, and died 1705. 2 children: John and Elener John chr 1682 at St Nicholas, Liverpool wife unknown John II chr 1708 St Nicholas married 14 July 1722 Isabel Moon John III born in Liverpool 12 Nov 1729 at Kirkby, Ireleth, Lancashire died June 1800 in Richmond Co NC. Traditionally (ie without proof) he is said to have married #1 Roseanne Martin #2 Leah unknown. Leah is a positive...she was named as his wife in hs will...however, deed records in Richmond for this JOHN list a wife named TOBYTHA. I have found no documentation for Roseanne Martin. If anyone has it, please share. This John was in the Rev War from Wilmington Dist NC, his children were John, James, Phillip, Elizabeth. It is unclear which wife belongs with which child. James and John were in the Revolution. James had a pension app in Cumberland Co NC and he later went to South Carolina where he died after 17 Apr 1833. His wife was Mary Holmes. Phillip was born c1760 and married #1 Sarah Watkins #2 Frances Webb. He had a son who went to MS, who was Phillip Marcellus James of Wayne and Greene Co MS. Elizabeth was either Elizabeth Wheeler James or Elizabeth Phebe James...in her father's will it looks clearly like PHEBE but in deeds it looks clearly like WHEELER. John, the last child, was born 1750 and died 1794/5. He left a will in Richmond Co NC also. His wife has been traditionally said to be Mary PIERCE, who he married c 1770. They were the parents of 8 children. These 8 names and dates of birth come from a DAR record...I am making an ASSUMPTION that they come from a bible record because no source was included on the Dar record: PHILLIP (my line) b 19 Apr 1771 maried Phebe Long John 4 Dec 1773-1855 Grant CO IN m Mary Snead Robert 16 May 1776 died unmarried in Richmond Co NC 1795, left a will leaving property to brothers Nancy b 3 Apr 1778 m 6 June 1799 John Webb William b 13 Dec 1779 m Anne Parker Israel b 3 Sept 1783 m Pharoba Morris Martin b 1 May 1785 m Patsy Woodhall Champness Pierce b 13 July 1792 m Patsy Herron My line from Phillip is John James b 1792 Richmond Co NC died 1865 in Jasper Co MS. His wife was NANCY maiden unknown., 2nd wife Charity. He had 3 brothers in Jasper: Robert, Phillip H and William. He was in the War of 1812 and got land in Jasper for that. He went from NC to TN to MS. His son Robert W James, my ancestor was born in TN between 1831-5. Other researchers of the 4 Jasper Co brothers have said they believe that Phillip's younger brother JOHN was the father of these men but I disagree. john would have been 19 when the eldest was born, certainly not inpossible, but census records for PHILLIP show children of the exact ages of the 4 brothers in his house. Also, Phillip moved to Wayne Co MS, and 2 of his sons are documented there before going over to Jasper. I would welcome input from anyone about any segment of this line. i do not have proof for it all. Regina Roper
