    3. To Sarah Jane McKenize You might think this is a little far fetched but I do know there was a Bailey/James connection in St. Mary's Co., MD. A William James and John Bailey sold tracts of land "Assurance" and "Yieldingsbury" in St. Mary's Co. to Philip Key on 3 Aug 1725. Both these tracts were formerly the property of a BAYLEY. I don't know William James' connection, perhaps he married a Bailey. I realize this is too early to have been your William JAMES but might have been his father. My JAMES family was from Northumberland Co., VA, which is across the bay from Maryland. Since I think they were Catholic, I did a little Maryland research and found above. Had hopes that this was my William James but perhaps he was yours.
