I am a compiler of other folks' efforts. The short answer is that I do not have competent information on genealogy books. I know that there are genealogy books, and some dealing with the 'James' line. I have borrowed the Glen Warren, the Dorothy Turner and the Gary Burke books from cousin Thurston James. I gathered almost all the data I have from folks like you, getting mostly contemporary data from individuals and working back and forth between my sources. I used Glen, Dorothy and Lucas as the base, and have added and amended as new stuff comes in. I am a firm believer in candidness and an open exchange. None of the data I have is from original research by me, someone gave it to me. Therefore, whoever wants to share it is welcome to it. I only ask folks to share what they have. I recognize that many people have invested considerable time and expense in research, and might even like to be recognized by being published. More power to them, I see that as a reasonable and honorable action. If they, you, I and all the other folks were doing this for wages, the cost of our efforts would rival the national debt. So our reward must be the "thank you" from someone we share with. I am rambling, so I will close. Michael
