I corresponded with someone who had a Joseph James married to a Betsy Rogers. We had the right years, but the wife wasn't exactly matching up. I have talked to a "lost" not "found" distant cousin and learned that they are most likely one and the same. Joseph's wife listed in the census as Elizbeth was called Betsy by the family and SHE WAS MARRIED PREVIOUSLY - but no one knew the surname from the first marriage. Her parents were French- I have the corrected spelling of Soublett coming- Her mother's name was Phoebe and I can't spell her fathers- but this is a very good possible link. I thought I had saved that EMail - just incase but I can't find it- SO PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ARE family!!! The odds are in our favor that these are indeed the same people!
