Hi, I am trying to trace my James roots also. I have gone back to my great great grandad- Joseph James. He was listed in the 1850 Graves Co. KY cenus with wife Elizabeth Sublett and their children. I have no idea who his parents were. He was born about 1807 and information contained in there as being born in KY. He had the following children listed on that census as Sally age 15, would have been born 1835 Phoebe age 13 1837 Nancy 11 1839 Catherine 9 1841 Barbara 7 1843 Elizatheth 3 1847 John 11(twin??to Nancy??) 1839 Joseph 5 1845 on the 1860 census the children listed with Joseph and Elizabeth were Nancy 21 Miranda 20 Barbara 17 Josehp A. 15 farmer Elizabeth A. 13 Washington 4 ANY help would be greatly appreciated!
