Hi All! :) 1757-1836 Thomas JAMES I wrote before about a Thomas JAMES married to a Sarah CLARK in Mercer Co. KY and they lived in Henry Co KY. I thought at first this Thomas had moved by 1840 to Graves Co KY- HE DID NOT (Could be a son of his though). I am not sure WHAT Thomas JAMES I am looking for yet but I do have what seems to be MY Thomas JAMES dying in Henry CO KY and his widow Sarah filing for pension. This Thomas JAMES was enlisted originally in a PENNSYLVANIA Militia Unit in the American Revolution- based on the pension application I have in hand (copy of). The in the affidavid, They had 14 children. IF this is truly my Thomas JAMES- two of his Children were Mary Ann JAMES who married a Dinning/Denning they would have almost been twins 1805 birth. There is a James listed as a neighbor that has "no interest in the matter other than to verify she is who she states she is". There was a notice that he had died and was removed from the pensioner list of Pennslyvania in 1804 but it seems he had not died, only transferred from Pennsylvania unit to a Kentucky unit. Any and all who have any JAMES' in MERCER CO or in HENRY CO Ky during the early part of 1800- ESPECIALLY THOMAS'- Please send me what you have. I am now planning a trip in the spring- after bad driving weather over to VISIT physically Henry and Mercer CO. KENTUCKY. I no of no other way to sort out these James' other than to go fully armed with as much information as possible to put dates, places, and connections together, than to ask others for their information. I realize I may be biting off more than I can chew, so please, send it over the next week. I don't want to confuse myself anymore than I am. Have a nice day/night! :)

They also had Peter James, Lucy (Brooks) James, who was born sometime around 1896 and died 6/6/1941 in Harrisburg, PA. and Betty (Williams) James. Hi Dick and Jan, What a delight to see your message! David James is my GG grandfather -- see below. Not very pretty but here's my direct line -- I'm Margaret Elizabeth Ware. I want to thank you for sending me back to the census (I have it on CD) for Aldridge's family. I never could find him before -- perhaps because I didn't have or didn't recognize that he died in 1844! I'm happy to share whatever information I can. Do you have any info on the Wright family? I have only that Elizabeth's father was James. Of course I have many of David James's descendents. I'm looking for any information on Thomas William JAMES who was born in 1908 in Texas, possibly the Houston area, the family says he was born on the lot of a medicine show by Paris but Paris is not near Houston. His parents were Thomas William JAMES and Frances Mabel JONES. They were killed in an accident about 1913, I don't know where or what kind of accident. Thomas jr was then raised by an uncle or grandfather and they supposedly worked with some sort of traveling show or carnival. Thomas jr was in the Albany NY area around 1934 or 1935 and married Elizabeth Jane KILFOYLE. They had a son Thomas William James JR in 1935 and moved to the Detroit area in Michigan. He worked for Ford Motor Company until he died in 1973. Any help on this family will be greatly appreciated. Margaret
