    1. [JAMES-L] JAMES, William Atlee, Jr.
    2. Max A. James
    3. I'm searching for William Atlee JAMES, Jr., b. Mar 4, 1831, possibly Greenville, Mercer Co., PA. He may have been born in Cherry Tree, Indiana Co., PA. One of his younger siblings is known to have been born in Cherry Tree. His father, William Atlee JAMES, Sr., was a mens tailor in the Pittsburgh area during a part of his life. William, Jr., mother was Mary Elizabeth McCarty of Greenville. William moved west to Iowa, but I don't know when or why. Married Rebecca LEMAR, April 13, 1850, Mt. Vernon, Iowa. They had five children, names not known, probably in the Mt. Vernon, IA area. 2nd marriage to unknown wife. They had three children, Emma, Charles & Clara. I'm guessing they were also in the Mt. Vernon, IA area. Mt. Vernon is near the city of Cedar Rapids, Linn County, IA. If any one can recognize this family, I will appreciate a reply. 1. [JAMES-L] JAMES, Henrietta - Iowa
    2. Hi JAMES people, I'm searching for information on Henrietta JAMES. She was born around 1854 in Iowa according to census reports. She married my great grandfather James BERRY in 1879 in Harrison Co, Iowa. They had several childred - Zora b 1884, Harry (my grandfather) b 1890, Edwin b 1894, Ione b 1894 and another child who apparently died at birth in 1900. James BERRY died in 1905 and Henrietta later remarried A. A. HEATH. She died in Council Bluffs, IA in 1948. She previously had lived in Missouri Valley, IA when married to James BERRY. If anyone has information on Henrietta's parents or siblings etc I would love to hear about it. I'm inclined to think her father was Benjamin JAMES but I can't prove it. James BERRY'S family moved to Iowa from Putnam Co. IN around 1851 and a lot of the other familys in the area also came from that area. Love to hear from you if you can help. Thanks. 3. I have the parents both born England and they were married in St. James Northam parish, Goochland county, VA. In 1774 they were living in Hanover county, VA, but that might have been because it was divided from Goochland by then. As far as I know William died in 1805 in Goochland. I have not heard of a Will, nor any land records on him. He was born 1754 they say, but I have not seen proof of this either. Good hunting Linda in KCMO

    2. Sally F. Ross
    3. Hi, this is my first post here. My great, great grandfather was: WILLIAM JAMES m. Pemilia Jane Eaves d. no sooner than 12-1862 Denver, Colorado Occupation: Freighter Date and place of death are based on the fact that Pemilia had his son about 8-5-1863 in Denver, and William was already deceased. Pemilia m. George Washington Frary, and the son was given this last name. So..this is the total extent of my James line. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks! Sally [email protected]

    2. Daniel Burkeen
    3. I am looking for any information on the parents of Sarah Elizabeth James, my wife's ggg-grandmother. Sarah was born in 1791 in Georgia, and married Anderson Standifer in Elbert County, Georgia. They had four children, two in Tennessee and two in Illinois. Anderson died in Tennessee and Sarah took the four children to Alabama, where she joined Stephen F. Austin and travelled with the original 300 settlers to Texas. She ran a stagecoach stop in Bastrop County, Texas, and remarried to Leman Barker. She died in 1838 in Bastrop County. Her descendants are fairly well documented by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, but I have found nothing on her ancestors. Any leads or info would be appreciated. Thanks, Daniel L. Burkeen
