    2. It should come as no surprise that Scots, mainly lowlanders, fought with the Brits at Culloden. There was no love between them and the Highlanders. Also it should be remembered that while Robert the Bruce may have claimed Scotland, he was nothing more than a greedy Norman who had several English titles and probably more land in England than in Scotland..
