My 5th Great Grandfather, William JACKSON, was born about 1745 in Brayton, Yorkshire, England, and was buried on 2 September 1789 also in Brayton. William JACKSON married Hannah WRIGHT (born about 1749 in Brayton) on 23 November 1760 in Brayton. They had at least 2 children; Edward JACKSON (born about 1766 in Newland, Yorkshire) and Thomas JACKSON (born about 1777 in Brayton, christened 5 August 1777, and died between 1851 and 1861 probably in Newland). Later generations of JACKSONs moved to Goole, Yorkshire and lived there until at least the late 1990s.
