During the past week there have been several postings about John Warren JACKSON of Warren Co GA. I believe some of the information in these messages is incorrect. John Warren JACKSON is only definitely known to have had four sons; Nathan, Aaron, Thomas, and Lewis. He probably had a fifth son William. There has never, to my knowledge, been found any evidence that connects Lowe JACKSON and Wright JACKSON (probably a pair of brothers) to John Warren JACKSON other than the fact that they all lived in Warren Co GA. Also, John Warren JACKSON did have a couple of grandsons named "Walker", but I've seen no evidence of a son by that name. There is no evidence that the father of John Warren JACKSON was named Thomas, specifically the Thomas JACKSON of Wake Co NC. There is no evidence that John Warren JACKSON was ever in Wake Co NC. The assertion seems to be based on similarities of names. There was a Nathan JACKSON in Wake Co at the same time Thomas was there, but there is no evidence that they were father and son. Also, later there was an Aaron JACKSON in Wake Co, but again there is no evidence of his relationship to the others. The major hurdle with John Warren JACKSON has been that nothing has ever been found that connects him with *any* JACKSONs other than his five sons. Naturally I welcome any new evidence that addresses any of the above issues. Steve --
