Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Xgk.2ACEB/7732 Message Board Post: My husband's g-grandfather was JOHN LAFAYETTE JACKSON (born in Mitchell Co., GA in 1878), married Agnes Marie Funderburke in Decatur Co., GA in 1901. In trying to go back further, I found in GA census records that John L. may be the son of JASON M. JACKSON (born around 1838 and married to Hannah "Martha" Rooks around 1860), which takes me to his father, ABSALOM JACKSON (born in early 1800's and married to Elizabeth Smylis around 1820); his dad was WILLIAM JACKSON. Other than the census records and some historical excerpts, I have not been able to verify this bloodline. If anyone has any info on any of these Georgia Jacksons, please respond. Thank you!
