I don't have anything to enlighten you however my gggrandfather was Stephen Jackson. What caught my attention was the fact that your Jackson's were from Illinois. My gg was born in Tenn., 1808 however both his mother and father were from Illinois. Don't even know anything more. My gg was 72 years of age in on the 1880 census of Texas. I am sure he must have had other family members in Texas but I have not a clue. Good luck one your search. Nila BTW he married Lucinda Burch.
