This is so exciting! I actually have quite a bit of information from Goodin's decendants, so drop me a line and I'll fill you in on what I've found and let you know what I'm sure is pretty reliable and what isn't. Just and FYI, too, in case you're interested, Goodin served in the Civil War for the Union side (I believe) and was with the 16th MO Cav., Co. C (I may have that backwards), and I know that's a fact - we have copies of paperwork regarding his military service.
