I assume he had relatives in Kansas that brought him there. I have never been able to prove it though. Here is his linage, that i know to be true: Charles Lee Jackson -July 5, 1877 born in Georgia(my grandpa) John Lazarus Jackson- Born 1852 in Alabama James Edward or John--Born about 1830 in South Carolina. Do any of these names sound familiar? I do not have a Peter in my lineage , but it doesn't mean he isn't related. He could be from a silbling of James/John. An information would be helpful.
