Jackson is alledgedly my ancestor, although there is no actual proof. However, the evidence is extremely convincing. The info I have comes from the divorce cases between John F. Jackson and his wife, nee Grigsby, in Fauquier Co., VA. Jackson had an affair and children with a young widow, Elizabeth Putnam and they had children, one of which I am descended from. They used the Putnam name, but Jackson was their father. You are ahead of me in research. I have copied all the wills and inventories you posted. Now I know more about Jackson's background. You are very thorough (my kind of research). The divorce cases are on the VA Library website. (The divorce was never granted, by the way,but John and wife were seperated from the 1840s on.) I will send you info if you are interested, but I'm sure you have more on the Jackson's than I do. Please send me what you have. I would be very appreciative. (I only found out about this two years ago, after 30 years of rese! arch. I erroneously took the Putnam's back to the 1600s, but all for naught.)
