My great great grandfather, James or John Jackson, was born in South Carolina in 1830. His family then moved to Alabama, and he moved his family to Georgia. James/John married a women named Malinda of Mary (Finley?. Her mom's name was Ann Finley, and both were also born in South Carolina. They had 9 children, all born in Alabama: Joseph E. Mary Elizibeth ( Duke) William Thomas Margaret F. ( Pickard) John Lazarus ( my great grand father) Edmund Nelia James Clara They moved to Georgia after 1860.
