Surnames: JACKSON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xgk.2ACEB/7795 Message Board Post: I trying to find information about a Harold Jackson who was born in or around Chester-Le-Street in County Durham, England, circa 1890 +/-7 years. Harold was a MUSICIAN (piano player??)/Steward on the trans-atlantic liners in the late 1920's and early 1930's. Worked on the Canadian Pacific "Duchess" Liners at one point in time (Liverpool/Glasgow/Belfast/Saint John, NB run). No idea whether he stayed in the UK, went to Canada or the USA or elsewhere. Some records in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (WW2) that could match, but not enough info to prove or disprove it's the Harold I'm looking for. Any assistance is appreciated.
