Mr. Jackson entered the hospital last Wednesday. Mr. Jackson was an enthusiastic Sioux City supporter for many years. He was among the group of men who in the late 80's and early 90's made Sioux City internationally renowned as the "Corn Palace City of the World." Mr. Jackson was credited with much of the development of Morningside and with that of Graceland Park Cemetery, one of his principal interests for many years. Mr. Jackson, who resided at the Martin hotel, was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church; Landmark lodge 103, AF&AM; Sioux City consistory 5, AASR; and Abu-Bekr temple of Mystic Shrine. Surviving are the widow, Carrie; a granddaughter, Mrs. James Donald Grant, Los Angeles. A son, Dr. James Jackson, died in 1928. The body is at the Nelson-Berger funeral home.
