    3. Jay, The genealogy DNA tests are only testing for one Chromosome and that is the Y The Y chromosome is carried from father to son down through the ages. So if the first father was named Jackson this test would only be for that line of Jackson Now it looks like your name may be Hill and If you test it would be for Hill only. Like from you to your father to his father to his father back in time.
