I am descended from Joseph Jackson and Sarah Kirkman through the daughter Sarah Jackson who married John Hymer. Their son, Bartlett was my gr.gr. grandfather. Do you have any information about the parents of either Joseph Jackson or Sarah Kirkman? I know about the story of the trip to Indiana and then to Illinois. Joseph Jackson and two children travelled to Indiana with the Hymer's and then he went back for the rest of the family. Very interesting history.
