My grandfather, Walter Jackson, was born in 1883 (August 16) in New York State (probably near Buffalo) - his father was John Jackson who emigrated to Ridgeway and worked in horticulture. He (John) married Martha Discher and had three children - Walter, Clyde, and Ruth.
