His daughter, Eleanor Aldridge Jackson Newton was my grandmother. My daughter has the portraits of both Mary Hester Aldridge Jackson and John Qunicy Jackson hanging on her wall at her home in Austin, Texas. I have the portrait of Mary Willis Jackson and Annie Patton Jackson (painted at the same time in Milan Italy) on my wall in Rockport Texas.My mother and I visited Petersburg Va. a number of years ago and their home was in the Historical District and had been restored.
