If so will you please tell me if anyone has a copy of this "Will"and can you post it? I looked up what I have for Joseph and Martha Jackson. According to the book "The Jackson and Related Families: Three Hundred Years in America by William G. Haemmel on page 168 in the "Notes", he gives the data for their will as: " Chesterfield County, Order Book 5, p. 403". In my own notes, I have that it is found in Chesterfield County, Will Book 2, p. 287, 288, 289; Will Book 1, 1765-74, p. 289; Will Book 1, 1749-65 p. ?; Will Book 2 1765-74, Rec. 126 ========================================= I Give to my GRAND SON'S CAIN J. BROWN and EDMUND BROWN Twenty-Five pounds each to be paid by my Executors out of my Estate as they come of age. But if either or both die before they arrive of age I then will that the part of the one or both __ dying is not to be paid but continue as part of my Estate. I confirm the Gift to JAMES BROWN of the property already given him. I Will and Devise that the Negroes devised to my Wife for Life except Big Aggy, Sam and Jacob after her death to be divided among MY CHILDREN, POLLY RICHARdSON, ELIZABETH GAINES, JOHN C. JACKSON, LUCY MORGAN, POLLY TOWNSEND and my GRAND CHILDREN, ELIZABETH GAINES, ROBERT GAINES, SARAH GAINES, LUCY C. GAINES, & CAIN JACKSON GAINES meaning my said GRAND CHILDREN to have but one-fifth part and to the residue of my Estate not devised to be sold and the money arising from the sale thereof be divided among my said CHILDREN and GRAND CHILDREN an as aforsaid. Lastly I do hereby appoint my WIFE, ELZABETH, Executrix and my SON, JOHN C. JACKSON, Executor of this my LAST WILL and TESTAMENT.
