He was born in Milwaukee and was retired as a battalion fire chief for the Milwaukee Fire Department after 25 years. He served in the Army and the Coast Guard and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Charlotte; son, Charles of Citrus Heights; and granddaughters, Theresa and Sandra. No services were planned. Arrangements: California Funeral Alternatives.
