I was looking back to Jackson board messages and found yours. Duncan was the 5th child born to James A and Mary Jackson. He was born in 1853 and my grandmother Susan Adaline Jackson was born in 1854. Listed in the 1860 cencus were the following ages of the children in that family: Jerome 15, Newton T (Newt) 11, Martha A 9, Alford N. 8. Duncan 7, and Susan A 6. If you know of anything about this family, please let me know. Do you know from what country they came. I always heard we were related to President Andrew Jackson but never knew how.
