The 1880 census for Marion County, Arkansas, is online at Ancestry.com. The 1880 census for the entire state of Alabama also is online at Ancestry.com. I believe you're thinking of the 1890 census, nearly completely lost in a 1921 fire. Only a portion of Perry County, Alabama, remains, along with a few other bits from other states and the District of Columbia. Sadly, none of Arkansas is included in the surviving fragments, and none of my ancestors were in Perry County, Alabama. Information on what census data Ancestry.com has online is available at http://www.ancestry.com/library/view/news/articles/6116.asp if you're interested. And so far, I haven't seen any indication of any other losses except 1890. = Steve =
