Thus, with the census subscription, possibly we can find out where William was in 1840, 1830, etc. In 1850, he was in Butler County, AL. His daughter was born in Chambers County, So he sorta was making a diagonal trip from Northeast Alabama, don to South Central Alabama. If you show anything, that may help, I am listening!! Mary if you live close to Independence, MO. at Mid Continent Library North Branch on 24 Highway [close to Truman's Library] they have ALL census records in the United States, every state and county within the state. They are open m-thur 9am-9pm and f-sa 9am-5or 6pm, sorry not sure of times. These are the micro films and they subscribe to several sites with census records on computers.
