Jackson was born. Family lore tells that he was at least partly descended from Potawotami stock. Chances are that his early life was in Northern Illinois, where, in 1855, at age 40, he married the Irish-born widow Anastastia Redmond Nolan in Lake County. Does anyone have ancestors who may have been his siblings or connected to his parents?
