Ann was a graduate of Springfield South High School and employed at WPAFB, Dayton, Ohio for 33 years. She was a dedicated, faithful member of Corinthian Baptist Church until her health failed. Ann was a member of the choir for many years, the Baptist Training Union, Kitchen Committee, the Naomi Missionary Circle, Vacation Bible and Sunday schools teacher, and served as a secretary and was Chairperson (1976) for the Annual Women's Day. Her other affiliations included club Tota Amigos, Dayton Metropolitan Women, Church Women United and the Old Timers Club. Preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Harvey B. Jackson; mother and step-father, Inez (Charles) Morrell; father and step-mother, Charles I (Helen) Black; brother and sister-in-law, Charles II (Carol) Black. Ann is survived by her loving, devoted daughter, JoAnn Williams (with whom she resided); cherished granddaughter, Stacey Elizabeth Williams; sisters, Mary Goings, Cleveland, OH, Marjorie Westbrooks, Springfield, OHIO; lifelong sisters/best friends, Virginia Taylor & Lucille Lynn; nephews, Charles Black III and Stephen (Dr. Yvonne) Black, Detroit, MI, Hunter Brigham, Springfield, OH & Charles (Bobbi Jean) Jackson, Fort Wayne, IN; nieces, Sharon Johnson, Cleveland, OH, Dr. Jacqueline (Woodrow) Davis, Reynoldsburg, OH, Jewell (Kevin) Hall, Springfield, OH, Winifred Long, Dayton; dear family friends, the Moreland/Hill Family, Robert and Johnnie Scales, Chicago, IL, Rev. Charles Haddix and Tiffany Haddix, Atlanta, GA; a host of great nephews and nieces, and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, September 16, 2011 at Corinthian Baptist Church, 700 S. James H. McGee Blvd. Rev. Perry E. Henderson officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 9 am Friday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Special acknowledgement and thanks to Mary EttaTucker and Paula Carter for their enduring friendship, also Melinda Colquitt and Michelle Bawansoni, extraordinary caretakers, who provided daily, dedicated and loving care to Anna.
