Rusteikas, 85, of Duquesne, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at the home of his son in Manassas, Va. He was born May 19, 1926, in Duquesne, son of the late Walter and Theresa (Jackson) Rusteikas. He retired as general supervisor at US Steel Clairton Works with more than 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer and a member for more than 35 years of Youghiogheny Country Club. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in engineering. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn (Slaney) Rusteikas; son, Gregory (Lori) Rusteikas, of Manassas, Va.; grandchildren, Scott Rusteikas and Christi (Matthew) Marcheschi; great-granddaughter, Gianna Marcheschi; and brother, Edward (Charlotte) Rusteikas, of Port Vue. He was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Ruskin; and sister, Margaret McNamara. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Blessing service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, with the Rev. Dennis Colamarino officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
