He was a carpenter by trade & went where the work was. He married Betsey (last name unknown)of Otsego County in 1827. Their first four children were born in Brunswick,Rensselear Cty, NY. Leonard James b. 1828; Andrew David b. 1829; Hannah b. 1833; & Jeremiah b. 1835. They left there in about 1835 and are found in 1840 Census in Milford, Otsego Cty. Betsey died in 1859 & Benjamin in 1888 at Oaksville, Ots Cty, and are buried together in the Fly Creek Valley Cemetery at Fly Creek, NY Help greatly appreciated.
