Author: Sandracary2000 Surnames: Jackson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.jackson/13840.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This may only be a coincidence, but my grandmother, whose maiden name was Fanny Jackson, had a brother named Leonard b.1882. He would have been 61 in 1943,so may not be a good candidate. My grandmother m.Joseph Longden of Moss Side and came to the States in 1909. She died at age 30 of the flu in 1918. Her parents were Thomas Jackson and Margaret Frost. Brothers were Thomas H., George and Leonard Jackson All were born in Hulme. The family lived at 14 Avenham Street for many years. I know nothing about what became of her brothers. Leonard could have married and had a son named for him. I hope this helps in some way. I would love to find descendants of any of her brothers. Thomas lived in Middleton in 1909. George was listed as a painter/decorator in one census and this was confirmed in a letter to my father from his aunt. Best regards.
