I have traced back to Anson Co., North Carolina but can't seem to go any further. My grandfather is John Layton Rushing, Sr, his dad was James Solomon whose dad was William Green Rushing, whose dad was Eli Rushing. William was married to Mary Elizabeth Waggoner but I don't know if that is the same Mary as yours.I hope someone can help me go back further.
