My grandfather was Robert Ellsworth Jackson (appr. 1926); the first information I know of him was that he met my grandmother (Louise Suzanne Stevens) in the Indiana Soldier's and Sailor's Children's Home where he was placed with his siblings in 1930 (Lake refers to Lake County): JACKSON ROBERT ELLSWORTH LAKE 1930 JACKSON LOIS HELEN LAKE 1930 JACKSON JOHNNIE LOUISE LAKE 1930 JACKSON EVELYN PAUL LAKE 1930 (http://www.ai.org/serv/icpr_issoh) I later found a census record (also from 1930) on Ancestry.com that showed him listed with mostly the same siblings (Lois H., 8; Evelyn P., 6; Louise J., 5; and Robert E., 3) as the son of Cecil P. Jackson (born appr. 1899), although no wife was listed. I also found a 1910 census record for Cecil which lists his mother A Eupha D. Chewning; it appears Ira S. Chewning was now the step-father of Cecil (and Maggie and Clyde). On Family Search, I discovered that before marrying Robert A. Jackson, she had been born Eupha D. Warren: Eupha D Jackson United States Census, 1900 birth: Feb 1876 -Tennessee residence: 1900 -Buffalo Township, Craighead, Arkansas spouse: Robt A Jackson children: Maggie L Jackson, Serell P Jackson Eupha D. Warren United States Census, 1880 birth: 1876 -Tennessee, United States residence: 1880 -District 3, Humphreys, Tennessee parents: Zeke Warren, Mararet A. Warren I'm afraid I don't know much more about Robert E. Jackson except that he was of Cherokee descent and died while my father was relatively young, leaving my grandmother to raise their 3 sons. I appear to be coming late to this post; if you've any new information, I'd love to know. BTW- Nice to meet you cousins :D Take care, Chelle Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
