You can obtain and view of a filmed copy at your local LDS History Center library. The Library of Congress also has a copy of the book Cal No. C871.J13 1930. A posting (#20392) by Eleanor Rayl on GenForum in 2009 under "RE:William Jackson of Augusta Co VA" thread would also be of interest. Good hunting. DNA matches exactly to this line. I have yet to find the link. Names are repeating and places are the same so I feel close to finding out Loe's parents. Samuel's parents were Daniel Jackson and Bethiah _____. Samuel was born abt 1759. I would like to know where they went after leaving NC. I believe, he(Samuel) had a brother, Nathan/Nathaniel that went to Izard County, AR. I went there to look for records but a courthouse fire destroyed everything early on. Found nothing. My line is Loe's son, Ransom Jackson b. 1796. Ransom stayed in NC. The dates don't match for it to be the same Ransom mentioned above. The fact that the name was used/repeated is significant however. My only hope might be descendants that know something. Good Luck. Phyllis Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Does anyone know of a Norton JACKSON who had land holdings in 1715 in Co. Cork, Ireland? The townland of Ballyshane, also Johnstown situated near Glanworth is mentioned. I tried to get a researcher to go the Greene County Circuit court records to find the actual court proceedings on the adultery charge as we just have abstracts. If you are in the area you may want to see if you can find the actual files from the abstracts to find out who brought the adultery charges up and how it was all resolved. I am not sure if they are archived with the state archives or with Greene County. I would love to see this mystery solved.
