    1. [JACKSON] Elizabeth Jackson b 1793 SC d 1868 Story County IA, wife of Amos Kelley
    2. Daniel Maxwell
    3. Hello list, I am hoping someone here can help me with my Jackson roadblock. I am descended from one Elizabeth Jackson (11 Nov 1793 - 22 May 1868). Her parents are unknown to me, I have few clues, but I am hoping someone here knows of this Elizabeth. Here is what I know. She married Amos Kelley 25 Mar 1817 in Franklin Co KY. They later migrated to Vigo Co IN. Her husband was dead before 1840, and she is shown with her own household. She gives her place of birth in both the 1850 and 1860 censuses as SC. By 1860 she is living in Story County IA with her children's families, before she died in 1868 and is buried in White Oak Cemetery, which is where the DOB and DOD come from. Searching on the internet didnt give me much. I found this on an unsourced tree here: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2445132&id=I520449852 I tried contacting the owner of the page but got no reply. Her correspondent claims that Elizabeth Jackson is a descendant of John Jackson, ancestor of Stonewall Jackson. However, I have checked all of the sons of John Jackson - none of them migrated to SC, nor KY in the right period. At first, it seemed plausible as many of the Jacksons did migrate to Vigo Co IN, but if theres a connection, it isnt through the sons of John. So, my question to the list would be, unless anyone here already knows the answer to her parentage, does anyone know of a SC Jackson family that migrated to Franklin Co KY ? The population of SC was low in the 1790s and I doubt there could have been too many Jacksons families. Thanks alot if anyone can help. Daniel Maxwell

    1. [JACKSON] Jackson pewterers in England and Ireland
    2. Sharon Oddie Brown
    3. I have just posted a piece on my blog that links to pages that I have also posted on my web site. They include a new JACKSON tree with 223 names included, wills of Thomas JACKSON (d 1680) and his son Samuel - both of them Pewterers. Also, a list of the Jackson pewterers of London. It is of interest to those looking at JACKSONs in London in the 1600s, as well as JACKSONs in post-Cromwellian Ireland. Also, a merchant named Samuel JACKSON of Philadelphia. The blog piece is at: http://sharonoddiebrown.blogspot.com/2011/12/thomas-and-samuel-jackson-pewterers-of.html The individual pieces can be accessed through the blog, or at What's New: http://www.thesilverbowl.com/misc/whatsnew.htm AS always, if you see errors, please let me know.
