    1. [JACKSON] JACKSON Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of a couple in their 20's which was taken April 30, 1899 at the Shaw Studio in Tecumseh, Nebraska. On the back of the photograph a note says "Ma & Pa" and the name F.E. JACKSON, Dunbar, NE. I believe that this may mean that this is a photograph of Mr. & Mrs. F.E. JACKSON. In addition, notations are included referring to the photograph itself and instructions regarding modifications or corrections. Also on the back of the photograph is the name "Willie" and "Cook, Neb". I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. My grandfather, Walter Jackson, was born in 1883 (August 16) in New York State (probably near Buffalo) - his father was John Jackson who emigrated to Ridgeway and worked in horticulture. He (John) married Martha Discher and had three children - Walter, Clyde, and Ruth. Might there be any connection to the Jackson's you are dealing with here since Abraham's generation would have been old enough to be a grandfather of Walter, etc. -----Original Message----- From: g.winters@sbcglobal.net [mailto:g.winters@sbcglobal.net] Sent: 23 February 2004 4:40 PM To: JACKSON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [JACKSON] re-Jacksons in New York This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
