Hi All, Maybe lucky this time eh. Samuel Axworthy JACKSON was an accountant, who married Mary POWER in the Parish of Stoke Damerel in Devon, England, on the 13 December 1828. The witnesses to the wedding were Henry Lawson and Mary Woan. The wedding was by Banns. If there is anyone there who may be part of this family then I would appreciate making contact with you. Thank you. Hooray, Warren in Ballarat, Australia (ex Kiwi).

I have been unsuccessfully trying to locate John's birth certificate. We believe his parents are Robert JACKSON and Jane WILSON. From the 1881 and 1891 census I have confirmed three children of John and Phillis, they are Mary JACKSON (born 20 Sep 1880), Elizabeth Ann JACKSON (born 1888) and Robert JACKSON (born about 1892). I would like to get in contact with any descendants of any of the above people, especially if you have any info on John's birth date/place.

Just saw your response to an earlier query about Nelson Jackson. I am interested in both N. Jacksons because WV and KYare very close. The one I am looking for was in WV in 1880 and was married to a Margaret. She died sometimes in the 1920s or before. According to rumor she disappeared. Nelson was born about 1830 and also according to information was a farmer, as well as a traveling preacher in the WV and surrounding counties.

I took digital pictures of many of the registers and index lists, and wrote much of the information down as well. I am in the process of putting the information together in an effort to put the Jackson families that lived there together. I would be happy to share any of the information or pictures I have with those who have Jacksons from the Belper area. I am specifically trying to find my GGGG Grandfather Thomas Jackson who was apparently born in 1798 to a William Jackson. Thomas became a traveling minister for the Primitive Methodist Church in approximately 1821. He married Eleanor Waterhouse Whalley who was from Ackworth, Yorkshire and they had 11 children. My direct line is through their son, William Whalley Jackson who left England with his wife, Hannah Brooks, and their son, Mahonri Morinacumer. They settled in American Fork, Utah. Thomas Jackson is reported to have died in Gravesend, Kent, England in 1873. There is a question as to when and where his wife, Eleanor died, and it is possible that Thomas married a couple more times after the death of Eleanor. Thomas & Eleanor Jackson's children are: Mary Ann Jackson B:22 Nov 1824 Howden, York, England D: 28 Apr 1840. Eleanor Waterhouse Jackson B: 27 Jun 1826 Dewsbury, York, England (Married Joseph Mee of Thringstone, Leicestershire, England) Thomas Clowes Jackson B: 12 Mar 1828 Warrington Bucks Lanc, England D: ?June 1903 Derbyshire, England (Married Emma Stainsby) Samuel Whalley Jackson B: 11 Jan 1830 Swinefleet, Yorks, England D: ? March 1989 Burton Upon Trent, Derbyshire, England (Likely married Hannah Eyley of Church Gresley in Derbyshire) William Whalley Jackson B: North Shields, Northumberland, England D: 03 Nov 1895 American Fork, Utah, USA (Married Hannah Brooks of Warmfield, Yorkshire, England) Ebenezer Jackson B: 10 Mar 1833 Cambridge, Camb., England D: 06 Jul 1833 ? Maria Jackson B: 24 Mar 1834 Cambridge, Camb., England Sophia Jackson B: 13 Feb 1836 Norwich, Norfolk, England Jabez Jackson B: 24 Aug 1838 Sculcoates, York, England Ebenezer (#2) Jackson B: 23 Sep 1839 Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England D: 27 Jul 1840 Gainsborough, Lincs, England Mary Jane Jackson B: 05 Mar 1841 Leicester, Leicestershire, England D: Jun 1912 Smethwich, Staffordshire, England (Married Jeffery Alfred Bomber of Polesworth, Warws, England) I have documented much of this information and I would love to share information on this family line.
