Nimrod Jackson, born Oct. 22, 1795, probably in South Carolina, served during the War of 1812, married Elizabeth Busby/Busbee, April 14, 1814 in Orangeburg District, SC and died in Crawford County, Georgia Oct.15, 1866. My search for Nimrod's ancestry has been long and fruitless. If anyone out there knows Nimrod and who his parents were, I'll be most grateful if you would share. Thank you, Joyce R. There was a fire in the federal census building at some point and burned those records from Arkansas and, as I understand, Alabama. One line of my family (not Jackson) was in Arkansas. There was a fire, there, burning the county courthouse, and, then, the federal records also burned the same records. Very frustrating. Lyndall "Lyn" Young Sellers

Jackson who was born in 1911 or 1912 in Waltham, Massachusetts. His father was Fred Earl Jackson and his mother's name I do not know. Fred Jackson was born in 1888 in Waltham, Massachusetts and died in 1976 in Jefferson, Maine. He was a Customs Officer in the U.S. Customs Service for many years near Jackman, Maine. The parents of Fred Earl Jackson were Inez Conner (She was born in Lewiston, Maine.) and Atwood J. Jackson of Jefferson, Maine. They are buried in Jefferson. Inez Conner Jackson's older sister was Flora Estelle Conner of Lewiston, Maine. She married Edward Cross Jackson in Waltham, Massachusetts. They are buried in Waltham. Flora and Edward Jackson were the parents of Hazel Marjorie Jackson (Mrs. John Duncan Sinclair) of Waltham. Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair were the parents of my 82-year-old mother, Ruth Louise Jackson Sinclair (Mrs. John P. Green.) My mother was born in Waltham, Massachusetts and now lives in Somers Point, New Jersey. We have much information about the Conner and Jackson families that we would be very glad to share with the descendants of Kenneth V. Jackson. My mother is the only one of her brothers and sisters still living and would like to learn as much as possible about her Jackson family. Thank you for contacting me. Sincerely, Susan M.
