I'm going to list a small sample of my "limb" of my family tree in hopes that someone will see this and recognize some names. Okay, let go: b.2002 Andrew Robert Knowles b.1969 Jennifer Ann Hatfield (Bradley Alan Knowles b.1941 Fannanell Hunter (Robert Lee Hatfield, Jr.) b.1901 Hattie Mae Smith (Jack Schaefer/Floyd Arther Hunter) d.1902 Florence Sloan (Stephen Paton Smith, Jr.) d.1923 Mary Margaret Hodges (William M. Sloan d.7/3/1919) d.1893 Sarah Jane Morris (Wm. "Billie" Hodges, Jr.) William "Billie" Hodges, Sr. (Mary Sarah Ann Mullins) Sarah Triplett (William Mullins) circa1732 Daniel Triplett (Elizabeth ?) Francis Triplett (Elizabeth Mason) Francis Triplett (Mary Browne) Francis Triplett (Abigail Huse) Thomas Triplett (Ann Grey) Judith Jackson (Francis Triplett) Henry Triplett ( ?) I will say this: including myself, my parents, grandparents and great grandparents were all born in Knox County, Knoxville, Tennessee. Mary Margaret Hodges-Sloan was born in the northwestern part of North Carolina around Watuaga County, as were her parents and possibly her grandparents. When the names start appearing as Francis then we believe the family was in Virigina. Okay, look it over and let me know. In trying to go back further, I found in GA census records that John L. may be the son of JASON M. JACKSON (born around 1838 and married to Hannah "Martha" Rooks around 1860), which takes me to his father, ABSALOM JACKSON (born in early 1800's and married to Elizabeth Smylis around 1820); his dad was WILLIAM JACKSON. Other than the census records and some historical excerpts, I have not been able to verify this bloodline. If anyone has any info on any of these Georgia Jacksons, please respond. Thank you!

Her name was Nannie Mae Brown b. Sept 21, 1907. Her mother was named Bessie Jackson. Bessie was born on Oct. 19, 1877. She died on September 11, 1964. She was married to an Unknown Williams at one point in time. She was also married to a Tom Brown. It should be noted that Nannie was not Tom Brown's child, but was adopted by him when he married Bessie. Her other two children, George and Wilma, were not adopted by Tom. Nannie told us that Bessie's mother's name was Idella Bestaday, but we can find no record for her. Nannie married Campbell Massingale and had two children, James David and Wilma. That's all the information I have to work with. Any help in finding who Bessie's family was would be greatly appreciated.
