Hello, I am a new subscriber to this list. We are trying to learn the parents of Alethia (various spellings plus Lethe) who married William Smith. It is said they married in Granville Co., N.C. abt 1797. We have been told her maiden name was Eaton. I believe her maiden name could have been JACKSON. We are told William and Alethia migrated from N.C. to Ga. late 1700's or early 1800's. They are found in Wilkinson County, Ga. (Georgia, as you probably know, did not have an 1810 census.) We found William Smith's will (Wilkinson Co., Ga.) and one son is named William "Jackson" Smith. The will was proven in 1835. One of the executors is a Absalom Jackson. David Smith, also an executor to Wm's will, married Amanda Jackson. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Claudia

He had 4 children, Nathan, Absalom, Elizabeth and Susie. I think William was my husband's gggg-grandfather (through Absalom), but I haven't been able to find too much info on him. I believe he fought in the Revolutionary War, and his parents (have no clue who they were) were emigrants from England/Scotland. If you have any info at all, please reply. Thanks!

I recently matched a Jameson 25/25 marker in Y-DNA. I found a Jameson who father surname is Jackson. After they sent me a picture of the person to take the test I was suprised by how this person so loook like my Great grandfather and great uncle. The Jameson was listed as son of James Jackson in 1700. I am sad that I am stuck around 1800/1868 in tracing back my family. Allen Hunt
