Nancy Ann Jackson is my ggrandmother. But whether this Nancy Ann is the right one, I don't know. I have not found Thomas's parents or siblings. There are soooo many Thomas Jacksons. I have not been able to find my ggrandmother's death record anywhere in Okla. Or an obit. Sent for death cert and the state could not find it either. Nancy and husband James H. DeLay were in 1920 census but can't find them in 1930. This has been a difficult family search and adding Jackson hasn't helped.

Seems there was a Tiffee/Tiffie split sometime in the early 1800's with some members going to AL and LA . My lineage wound up in OK via MO just prior to the landrush of 1889. The Catlett and Brice names in the Tiffee lineage would indicate a direct connection. I will watch for Jacksons and let you know if I find any. Thanks, Bill Tiffee.

The one listed on the 1840 KY census has him lited as around40 to 50 years old with a wife of 30-40. They had 3 boys and 4 girls. Anything is possible, but I know how you feel. Records are hard to track with so little info given. Good luck. Perhaps we'll find out that we are cousins down the road. Keep in touch and let me know how it goes. Maybe you'll find my missing link as well. Ray, Gilmer, Texas

He could be, but I have so little info which prevents at this time making connection. I'm amazed at the traveling, given the difficulty it surely involved, of ancestors in the 1800's! There are so many Jacksons but so few Jenkins that if ever I find link between two surely they'll be mine! I'm estimating Joseph was born abt 1875 since he and Sara had children as late as 1900. Recently I was told the Joseph Jackson family came to SC from AL. However have found nothing to support it. Have the family placed so far only in Jefferson SC and Chesterfield Co., SC

All I know is that my ggggrandfather, Isaiah was born there, somewhere. I have not tracked him down there at this time. I was told that I was looking at a hard nut to crack in locating his birthplace, and so far, he was correct. All I know is that they were located on the 1840 & 1850 census in Calloway County, Kentucky. He died in Dallas County, MO prior to 1860. I do know that there were other Jackson's located in Calloway County, KY, icluding a Joseph Jackson. Could he be yours?

I didn't recognize "Joyce", but was wondering how another Howard showed up. Loujean was a Jackson, her dad's name was Augustus Jackson, I don't remember her mother's name without looking it up, I think Mary, but her maiden name was Martin. You can find them in the Census, Charleston County, St James Santee. On some of the earlier census, Warren Player (Warren's dad was Warren also) and family are listed there also. Later they are in St Stephens. He pastored the Christian Church there. Hope all up your way are doing fine.

That would be super if we were connected in any way. Were your Jackson's in the Calloway County area of Kentucky or somewhere nearby? There were apparently several Jackson's in the area where my ggggrandfather lived that all had Biblical names. Mine was Isaiah, there was an Absalom, Josias, Joseph, & Daniel all listed on the 1840 Calloway County, MO census. Was your Joseph the one on the list?

After living in KY, is there any chance this brance of the family may have ended up in Missouri? We have a lost connection somewhere between the Carolinas and Missouri. My grandfather was Edward Jackson, his father was Joseph Jackson, and there were some other brothers who may have been adopted out. The "America" name keeps popping up in what we can find, so maybe we have some sort of connection. Judi Nador

I am looking for the family of Jesse T. Jackson born around 1805 in New York or Pennsylvania, and then Ohio, where he married Katherine Sams, then to Illinois where he married Catherine Price/McClees. I find him in Tazewell County, Illinois in 1850 with his second wife, Catherine Price/McClees with his kids, her kids and their kids, then I find Catherin in 1860 as a widow. Now, I believe that I found Jesse T. in the 1840 McClean County, Illinois Census, and if it is him, he has a Peter Jackson living next door, about the right age to be a brother to Jesse, and he was from Pennsylvania. Then I find Peter again in the 1850 McClean County census, with a Robert Jackson also from Pennsylvania living near him, also the right age to be a brother to Jesse and Peter. Now, Peter also had a son named Gustaves Jackson, which I'm hoping that someone out there might have a Jackson family that has all of! these names in it. If you do, could you please notify me, I would ever so much appreciate it. Thank you for any time and trouble that you might go through on my behalf. Jan Kelley bhdjkelley@hotmail.com
